We are social beings.  Social interaction isn't a privilege.  There are few activities that allow you to see exactly how your small investment of time makes a difference quite like our visitation groups do.

It doesn't take any special skills or talents, you just need to care!

 * Meet as a group outside the facility, usually in the parking lot, unless informed otherwise.

* A any special requests or other rules from facility staff will be shared with you by a group spokesperson.
* Always be cheerful and calm. 

* Before you share food, candy, or drinks make sure you've been made aware of  any diet restrictions.   We always have a list from the administration of any diet restrictions, so just ask. 
* Never push a person in a wheelchair unless you first ask. 

* We strongly encourage long-term commitments-but please do not make a commitment unless you truly intend to honor it. It is much better to "er' on the side of caution."
